   Bottom of pg 4 from the Breeders' Cup Stats site lists fields by most/least per race. If you assume it's correct 7 is the shortest field to date (not counting the scrubbed Juvenile Sprint!) stats.breederscup.com/bcosShowDocument.cfm?id=31

   I mention "if you assume it's correct" because it lists the least for the Juvenile Fillies as 8 and last year had 7 equibase.com/premium/chartEmb.cfm?track=KEE&raceDate=11/06/2020&cy=USA&rn=8
