Spent the weekend on the first challenge for #FrontEndChallengesClub 🎉 superterrific.github.io/fecc-001/
-
I created a log to track decisions, questions etc using @NotionHQ. Initially thought it would just be a good way to remember why I made certain decisions but ended up helping me solve a few issues I might not have otherwise #FrontEndChallengesClub notion.so/superterrific/Front-End-Challenges-Club-b98144b373fa4c719e43a79c012cf511

Also took it as an opportunity to learn to use Github, something I've been putting off for too long. All around good fun, thanks @FEChallengeClub! github.com/superterrific/fecc-001

@FEChallengeClub Finally got around to closely reading the solution, and wow, great stuff! I built a version locally following the solution but typing it myself + created private notes to track differences between my version & solution as well as some notes. Really helped it all to sink in.

While most of my implementation was "correct", or at least not wholly incorrect, the solution from @FEChallengeClub was more simple, performant & contemporary. Exactly what I'm looking for to level up my dusty old skills! Highly recommend to anyone else looking to do the same.

Now I'm off to update some of my side projects based on the first challenge 🎉, and thank you @FEChallengeClub for the shout out!
